ABOUT US

The Windsor Junior Woman’s Club (WJWC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the Windsor community through charitable and civic involvement. Our mission is to encourage volunteerism, support local causes, and raise funds that benefit organizations and initiatives we are passionate about.

WJWC offers women ages 18 and older meaningful opportunities to make a difference, develop leadership skills, share talents and ideas, and build lasting friendships. We believe community service should be rewarding—and fun!

Our members support a variety of local programs and events, including Windsor High School scholarships, the annual Shad Derby Coronation Ball and Festival, and numerous community service projects throughout the year. We also organize seasonal fundraisers to give back to the community. In addition, WJWC is proud to be the only organization in Windsor that sells cotton throws featuring historic Windsor landmarks.

In 2024, WJWC celebrated 55 years of service to the Windsor community. We are also proud members of Connecticut Junior Women, Inc. (CJW).

Our Community Impact

The Windsor Junior Woman's Club is proud to support organizations, programs, and initiatives that strengthen our community. Through fundraising, volunteer service, and community partnerships, we give back to causes that make a difference in the lives of Windsor residents.

Maryellen Messina Award Scholarship, High School Essay Scholarship, WIN TV Summer Camp, Windsor Volunteer Fire Co., Windsor High School Project Grad, WILA, Windsor/Windsor Branch Library, Nightmare on Broad Street, Mary's Place, Weekend Wheels, Food and Fuel Bank, Robotics Teams, Windsor Senior Center, PTO Donations, NWP, Farmer's Market, Windsor Animal Shelter, Windsor Services, WEF, Woman's Shelter, Little League, The Longest Table, Concert on the Green Sponsor, CJW Scholarships, Shad Derby Ball and Festival, and Project Santa.

In addition to financial contributions, WJWC members volunteer countless hours each year to support local events, charitable programs, and community initiatives.
